Conscious Multimedia Productions is a husband and wife production team that has accumulated over 30 years of television and filming experience within the global media industry including radio, podcasting and streaming services.

Evelyn Mejil, an author, motivational speaker, media personality, creator and founder of The Art of Mindful Living, Inc. has over 25 years of business executive and leadership experience. Together with her Principal Partner and husband, Bruce Dunkins, a Peabody Award Winner with over 30 years of experience in television and film with world renowned networks and productions, has launched The Art of Mindful Living, Inc. media branch, Conscious Multimedia Productions.

ABOUT THE BOOK

The author takes the reader on a journey within, into the depths of a provocative affair between her false self and her authentic self. She provides a vivid portrait of her courageous mind meeting her painful memories, her valiant heart overcoming her shameful unworthiness and her bold spirit overpowering her relentless fear. Inside this account, she shares an uncensored description of how she overcomes her past when she discovers an inconspicuous truth. While traveling the world in search for answers to silence her nightmares and heal her pain, she sees that the answers stood where she buried her painful past, hidden in the eyes of the woman reflected in the mirror- and to find them, there was only one journey left to take, a journey within.

Evelyn Mejil embarks on a journey and takes the reader with her. She reveals her own resistance to go within and how the journey eventually led her to visit the memories of her past and face her demons. Once she goes beyond the memories and faces her demons, she finally discovers her true being and vividly recounts how her false self, the identity birthed in the lies of her past, collapses.  Shattering the iron grip of her past, she is finally free from victimhood, heals, and brings forth a new story.  In the end, she unveils the looming dawn of a new being that breaks away from the logic that betrays her hope, peels away the layers of ideas that stifle her faith and obliterates the concepts that conceal her truth. Overcoming the annihilated illusionary walls of pain from the past, the false torturous hold of shame in every present moment and the shattered imaginary bridges of fear of the future, she presents the unadulterated expression of her most powerful self, The Authentic Self.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Before earning degrees at Rutgers University and NYU and devoting her life and a successful career to helping global victims of violent crimes and social injustice, Evelyn was a survivor herself. Despite it all, Evelyn did not allow her past to hold her back. Instead, she let it fuel her tenacious spirit to push through it all and make a difference for women and children who are suffering across the globe.

This book begins by describing Evelyn’s past, but continues forward and, with a twist of fate, becomes a real-life breakthrough story that is enriching, empowering, and awe-inspiring.

Evelyn is a native Puerto Rican-New Yorker, but to date, she has travelled across the globe to quench her thirst for truth, knowledge, growth and self-discovery, while honoring her commitment to service. She has personally served, directed and volunteered in countless international initiative in the public and private sector.

A trailblazer, humanitarian, advocate and thought leader, she is a change agent who fiercely and fearlessly charges forward making an impact in countless lives, while allowing the journey to be the gateway to her authentic self.

With her unique blend of spiritual and social consciousness, her work once again, leads the path to a new school of thought in, “The Woman in the Mirror - A Survivor’s Journey into The Authentic Self”.
